Focus 2011: Business at the Border
Our 3rd annual conference was held on June 6th and 7th at the Edgewood Resort in Alexandria Bay, NY. The event went very well with excellent speakers, lots of time to network, good food and a wonderful reception at Boldt castle in the heart of the 1000 Islands. For those who had neither been to the islands or to the castle, eyes were wide-open! We were fortunate to have Gord Brown, M.P. For Leeds-Grenville kick off the conference at our Monday breakfast. Gord is a really strong advocate for the border and for tourism issues – we were fortunate that he could find the time to join us. Naturally, I want to extend my gratitude to our conference partners as well. Without their support, events like this cannot be held.
For those interested parties who have expressed an interest in learning more about the conference subject material discussed and for the attendees who might like a copy of the presentations, I am posting them on the web site. I have also posted the conference evaluation form for those that may not have had a chance to complete it on the days of the conference. Your input is very important to us – please take a minute and complete this form if you attended the conference.
